
Yoga has been around for centuries because of its ability to quiet the mind and tone the body through meditation and body poses. The Yoga classes offered at Your Body Center are open to all fitness levels. We offer modifications for more advanced postures that allow our classes to be challenging for both beginner and experienced students. If you have health or physical concerns, we can offer you suitable modifications. Yoga is adaptable for mostly everyone.

Beginner Yoga 60 - 90 min
Forward bends, backbends, lateral poses, twists, some inversions, and balances are taught in each class. Class uses the same basic framework, being open and flexible to the yogiss wishes & needs.

Basic Yoga 60 min
This class will present a remedial practice for those who yearn to strengthen or free and balance particular areas.
The breath and meditative approach is emphasized in order to focus mind and body through inner body awareness. This awareness adds an additional dimension to yoga postures and life itself. This class is perfect for beginners and those who are coming back to yoga after a long period of time.

Mix Level Yoga 60 min
The instructor will asses each class and work within the students capability. Whether you are a beginner or intermediate, this class will have something for you. The instructor will work through standing and seated poses and possible inversions. No intimidation from this class. It is for you.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga 75 min
The class promises to make you sweat while you move though the series and feel your body, breath and movement become one.
Flow classes is becoming a very popular class. This style of hatha yoga consists of a series of poses that all yoga students can enjoy. The instructor carefully hand-picks the type of music to be used during the class so that the routine has an energizing, gentle, graceful and inspiring flow to it. This class can be challenging for a beginner to yoga but all levels are welcome to attend.

Yin Yoga 60 min
Yin yoga is a complement to the more active Yang yoga. Both being different dimensions of Hatha yoga. The emphasis is long held deep stretches primarily targeting the connective tissues (which holds bone to bone), tendons, ligaments and deep muscles. Short held poses do not give these areas time to fully stretch out. The majority of the poses are floor poses, with emphasis on the lower back, hips and hamstrings.This a quite meditative class, where poses are held for up to 5 minutes.
This Yin class will take you further in your regular yoga practice, improve your athletic performance, increase agility and joint mobility.

Forrest Yoga 90 min
Forrest Yoga uses heat, vigorous sequences and deep breathing to sweat out toxins while the long holds in the pose progressions help you flush, oxygenate and rejuvenate every cell.
Forrest Yoga does not require strength or flexibility; it only requires a willingness to learn how to feel authentically.
