Yoga for Health with Gabrielle McNaughton

Saturday Morning 9.00-10.15 and Wednesday Morning : 09.45-11.00 am

Gabrielle's yoga class is aimed to help you develop strength and fluidity, feel a healthy and natural alignment of your spine and whole body, and find more freedom and ease within yourself. Yoga enhances a deeper connection to the breath through practice. This generates an inner clarity and vital calm. These classes are open to all. Explore simple and also more complex poses, with attention on developing greater body awareness and finding lightness and space within your yoga practice. Gabrielle has trained in the Scaravelli Inspired approach and with Yoga Elder Sama Fabian. Her classes are informed and inspired by many years involvement with Dance and Yoga, and as a craniosacral therapist.

Pregnancy Yoga

Pregnancy Yoga Tuesday Morning : 9.45-10.45

Yoga in pregnancy is a beautiful way to bond with your unborn child, to relax your body and mind in preparation for birth and to help speed up the recovery process after birth. Michelle trained in Sivananda Yoga in 1997 and has been teaching Hatha yoga ever since. She began teaching pregnancy yoga early in her career. Having had four children herself, Michelle has found yoga to be a great gift in pregnancy.

Mother and Baby Yoga Tuesday Morning : 11.00-12.00

Mother and baby yoga class at 11.00-12.00am. Continue to nurture a deep relationship with your newborn child and strengthen and enjoy your body post pregnancy. Please bring a mat or blanket for your baby to lie on.

Hatha Yoga with Cinzia Citra

Tuesday Evening : 19.30-20.45

Cinzias classes are gentle and deep. Each yoga class incorporates postures (asana), chanting, deep relaxation, breathing practices (pranayama) and meditation that results in a profound experience of peace.

Cinzia first trained in Sivananda yoga and having explored yoga for 11 years with different teachers she feels most at home with Integral Yoga, following the teachings of Satchidananda. Each class is a moving meditation, using the breath to connect energetically whilst stretching to ease and limber the body and increase vitality, flexibility and strength. Once the body is steady and comfortable in the pose, the mind slows down and we feel peaceful within.

The goal of Yoga is to have an easeful body, a peaceful mind and a useful life.

Hatha Yoga with Marcina Urvashi

Hatha Yoga Wednesday Evening : 18.30-19.45

Marcina leads a balanced yoga class guiding you through yoga poses(asanas), connecting you with your breath, to invigorate and relax at the same time. This class will refresh your mind and body giving you extra boost for the week. As you attend you will steadily strengthen and gain flexibility, whilst developing a deeper understanding of alignment and core strength. Tuning in to your body and breathing, the body-mind is guided towards an optimum state of being..

Marcina trained in Hatha yoga with Samyak yoga in India. Marcina is also a professional vocalist and musician, trained in Classical Indian Dance and also Afro-Brasilian dance. These disciplines inform and enhance Marcina's practice. Her classes are unique vibrant and enjoyable. The class is open to all including beginners.

Kundalini Yoga with Lila

Thursday Evening : 19:00-20.30

Kundalini Yoga is a powerful practice for the modern age. We work with postures for opening the body, breathing exercises for energy and stress reduction and mantras to clear the mind, enhancing focus and concentration. We work with powerful meditations for balancing emotions and deep relaxation. Kundalini Yoga strengthens the nervous and immune systems, clears energetic blocks, transforms unhealthy patterns of behavior and reconnects you to your own creativity. It is a complete system for vitality, health and happiness.

Lila trained with the International School of Kundalini Yoga and brings her background of professional singing, physical theatre and dance into her teaching. Lila's classes are open to all levels and offer a safe and sacred space for those who wish to heal at the deepest level and live a life of joy and ease.

Pilates with Diane Aben

Pilates can be taught to all and may be tailored to the individual. It reconditions the fragile and the injured or challenges the fittest. Pilates helps us reconnect body and mind; to realign and keep us strong.

Classes are dynamic and highly rewarding, sometimes incorporating small Pilates equipment. Dianes classes are mixed, with an enthusiastic male following.

Diane has been teaching Pilates since certifying in Body Control Pilates in 2005 and is a highly experienced teacher. She is qualified to teach to advanced matwork level as well as equipment based private sessions (reformer, chair, ladder barrel etc).

Gong Bath with Amanda Kent

August 14th 19.30 - 20.30. Cost £10.

A gong bath creates a meditative state as soon as it begins to play, allowing relaxation and healing to occur. As you relax and flow with the vibrations of the gong you can release anything that is no longer serving you as the sound carries it away.

Amanda uses the Venus Gong which is one of the Paiste planet gongs. The sound ebbs and flows, being at times sonic, then caressing and gently loving, sweeping you along to a vibration that will resonate with your inner being. Gong baths are best received lying down to enable you to surrender and let go, so please bring a mat to lie on, we have blankets for covering and cushions to make yourself comfortable.
